June 19 was their wedding day and much to our delight Libby Brown and Parks Thomson decided that they would begin their special day by running the 2010 Habitat Hobble.
Libby and Parks and their entire wedding party – a total of 15 people – ran the Hobble sporting bright blue t-shirts reading “Breaking the Finish Line and Tying the Knot.” To top off the occasion, Parks was the first runner to cross the finish line.
Libby says “I have always loved to run, and I ran the Habitat Hobble last year. I was looking forwards to running it again this year, until I realized that my wedding fell on the same day. Then I decided to just go ahead and run. I was able to talk all my bridesmaids into running with me, along with a few relatives and my fiancé.”
